May 26 am  Blues  and bass chunking off Old Orchard Lt. House
June 1 pm  Another good day of Fluke fishing off Sandy Hook
June 2  Tough conditions. Trolled and clamed in the reach. Got out to the Knolls just as that front blew through. That ended our day early.
June 8  Good day fluking in Sandy hook bay. Fluke finally showing signs of turning on. Starting to see some Weakfish showing up also.
June 9  Great day chunking for Bass on Flynns Knoll to 18# . Also got some keeper Fluke to spice up the catch.
June 15  Gale warning. No fishing today!
June 16  Annual Fathers day trip with the boy's. Fished the channels for weakfish. Hit weaks from 17" to 21". Some more keeper fluke also. All in all a very nice day!
June 22  Decent day of fluke fishing off the Coney Island flats. Hit a lot of  "shorts" and even more sea robins. But the charter managed to scrape up enough keepers to take home for dinner.
June 23  Chunking on Flynns Knoll turned up a lot of action on clams. Some of the bass were pretty big. Conditions were tough with a strong current running because of the upcoming full moon.
June 29 Fluke fishing in the ocean in Sandy Hook channel. Poor drifting conditions with no wind at all but still managed to catch fluke to 4lbs and Seabass to 2lbs. The fishing is starting to pick up nicely.
July 4  Fluke fishing continues to improve with a good catch of keepers and shorts in Chapel hill channel.
July 5  With the wind blowing 20 - 25 out of the NW we stayed inside south of Earle pier today. The drift was very fast with 6oz needed to hold bottom in 15 feet of water. This turned out to be ideal conditions for Fluke fishing. We hit fish on every drift with many double hookups. Ended the morning with over 20 fluke. Also hit 2-3 lbs blues. A perfect fishing day.
July 6 Wind much calmer today. Fished Flynns Knoll and Chapel hill channel. Fishing slower because the drifting conditions were not as good as yesterday. However we did manage to find the fish  and took some keepers home in the 17in range. I think that Fluke fishing will stay consistent for the rest of the season now.
July 13 Fluke tournament. Fished offshore of the Shrewsbury Rocks. Not much in the way of big Fluke but we killed the Seabass. We did move inside to pick up a lot of keepers.
July  17 Good day fishing Flynns Knoll for Fluke with keepers to 21"
July 20  Pretty windy in the morning which gave us a good drift inshore of Earle. Hit lots of fluke with keepers to 17" Then the wind died at the change of tides.
July 14 Fluke tournament. Fished every nook and cranny of Sandy hook channel with plenty of Fluke caught, however no Flukeasaursus.
July 22 thru July 26 Boat in for Service. No trips planned.
August 18  Back in the water again. Had a good day  chasing Bluefish on light tackle and Fly rods. Had all the blues we could handle in 2 - 4 lb range on the Knoll.
August 21 Hit Chapel hill channel for a good pick of Weakfish to 4-5 lbs.  Had lots of company out there for a weekday. The better bite was early for the bigger fish. An all around perfect day for fishing.
August 25  Good action again at Chapel hill channel with a good catch of Weakfish and some Fluke. Also hooked up on one of those big rays. Gave a good fight before releasing unharmed.
August 31  Hit some hot Weakfish action at the Reach Channel with fish over 21" before the approaching front made holding bottom impossible. The fish were there.
Sept. 3  Weakfishing slowed a bit today but the Fluke were available.  Caught a lot of shorts and keepers in Chapel hill channel.
Sept. 4  Afternoon trip proved very productive with Fluke to 21" on Flynns Knoll.
Sept. 7 Fished the Channels Chapel hill and Reach but Weakfish were hard to find in any numbers. Did find some fluke with a couple hitting the 3 lbs. mark.
Sept. 8  The Fluke were a little spread out today but the Blues were sure hungry. Mostly 3 to 5 pounders and they were all over the place. Lots of fun on light tackle.
Sept. 14 Bluefish trip in Raritan bay produced a limit + catch of school blues in the 3 - 6 lbs range. All fish were caught on Diamond jigs and  were released. The catch was spiced up with some keeper fluke 17" to 20".
Sept. 21 Fluke and Weakfish trip didn't produce as hoped. We did end up with a nice catch of Seabass near the east range towers though.
Sept. 22  We found some Fluke today out near the knolls up to 18" on strips. Also had our fill of Blues up to 5lbs.
Sept. 28 No Trips today thanks to tropical storm Isadore!
Sept.29  Waters still churned up from the storm. Fished the reach with the rest of the fleet and ended up with a few Fluke for our efforts. Didn't see any Weakfish caught at all. Moved out to the towers when the seas calmed down for a pick of small SeaBass.
Oct. 6  Fished in between blows today  (NE wind 15 - 25) with a good pick of Weakfish ranging from 4lbs to over 6lbs. Peanut bunker was the hot bait . Also had some fun with bluefish.
Oct. 12 & 13  Another storm this weekend. It's that time of the year again. No Trips.
Well that pretty much does it for this season! Hope you all enjoyed fishing with me, I certainly enjoyed fishing with you.

I will start Striper fishing in late April or early May next spring. Weather permitting!

If you have a date in mind, book it now while I still have open dates.
